About Mama Raquel

Raquel Ramirez

me

I am a stay at home mom who has been given the best and highest calling job in the world of being a mom. I thank God for my loving and hot husband of 9 years whose support and devotion affords me to be at home. I have 3 boys ages 6 mos, 2 yrs and 4 yrs. Since having my boys, my perspective and priorities in life have changed. I see things now not as “What’s in it for me?” but “How will it affect/bless my children?”

It is my sincerest desire to “train up” my boys in the ways that they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). With God’s grace, wisdom, and PATIENCE I strive to do this one day at a time. Believe me “one day at a time”.

I hope to one day be able to convert this blog into a book for my sons to show them the mother I was to them, the mother I aspired to be for them and what was going on in the world while they were growing up that helped shape their future. Some days I just want to write letters to them and some days I want to write about my personal experiences as a parent, a Christian and a mother. Humor is a huge part of our lives and that is why I like to showcase it as much as possible so they can look back and read that mommy never took herself too seriously.

I also sincerely hope to bless others with the “funny, moving and sometimes learning” moments I share with my children in this journey called “motherhood”. Wont you join me.

Hi Raquel… i stumbled upon this site today and was completely surprised to realize that I know you! Or who you are, anyway 🙂

Anyway, I just want to let you know that this blog is absolutely wonderful. It is funny and encouraging, and you have great ideas. The best thing about it is that you are completely devoted to raising your boys to be men of God and to shape their character to reflect God’s love and plan for them. It is inspiring, to say the least! I often wonder (worry about) how i will personally shape the character of my boys as they grow up. It is stressful to know that you are a major part of their spiritual growth… and it is scary to feel this burden and at times feel that you are not worthy, or that something you may do will mess them up for life!

I always wish i had the time (I am a working mother of two small boys, 2 1/2 and 3-going-on-4 years old) to write everything they do down on paper. So much happens, and unfortunately a lot of it gets forgotten. Reading your blog made me realize that i have to put more of an effort into capturing these little moments that wont last forever. They will be a great gift for your child some day!

But most importantly, i think your blog gives women like me inspiration and hope…. to be the women and mothers that God made us to be, by trusting in God and using what God has already equipped us to use.

God Bless you and your family. You guys have always been in my prayers 🙂

Wow so awesome to hear this. I believe I do know you too 🙂 Just to confirm I asked Rocky and he confirmed it. Really great to hear from you. So you have two boys too huh? Aren’t they a joy? Amazing how God can use our children to really show us what He means by unconditional LOVE. He has humbled me so much through this motherhood jouney. I know this journey is not easy, but God promises me that He will be there to guide me and give me wisdom, patience and endurance. He is who I cling to everyday for my source of …everything. I started this blog with the intention to encourage other moms in their motherhood journey, to remind them of our maker who wants the best for us and our kids, and to share my fun, moving and learning experiences with my kids. Everyone’s situation is difference, but God is the same and that should bring us comfort, peace and confidence.

Capturing the memories of your children can be as simple as just wrting them down on a notepad, that’s what I do. I carry a notepad in my purse everywhere I go with them to capture the silly things, moving stories or random thoughts that pop in to my head as I go on my day with them. It really is that simple. Then, when you do have a little down time you can scrapbook some of them, blog them, rewrite them in a nice journal for them or record your voice saying these memories. I don’t think they care HOW you get these memories down, they will appreciate them and you will too when you relive them 🙂

Lorena, I know we’ve never really talked, but I would love to get to know you and your family more. I never think it’s coincedence that bring people together, I believe God orchestrates certain appoinments and interactions, this being one of them 🙂 Feel free to contact me on my e-mail thinkraquel@gmail.com or message me on Facebook.

      Many Blessings,
      Raquel

Man, what a great idea for a Podcast, I’m kicking myself in the face for not thinking of this myself lol (just kidding), but really a great podcast idea. That being said, I’d love to share my story, insight, and practical advice for any mommy or daddy out there on the fence about pursuing a dream business. Shoot me an e-mail with more details at Raquel@RMRsocialmedia.com. Thanks Mary.
