He makes me laugh
…but I can make him laugh too
On yesterday’s post I don’t know if you got to see it, but there was a video of Rockford getting near some ducks in the park. He gently drew near them and kept looking back at me as if to gain approval from me to proceed with his incognito mission. They eventually all flew away and as he sadly makes his way back to me says, “they don’t want me!”
Where are your manners?
Rockford: Achoo!
Me: Bless you
Rockford: You’re welcome.
Ok he almost got this one down.

Now serving breakfast
A few days ago in the morning I asked Rockford what he wanted for breakfast. His usual answer is always, “sausages”, so this can give you some perspective here. “Rockford, what do you want to eat?” He replies, “eggs”. My immediate reaction is of confusion and surprise. He acknowledges my reaction and says, “that’s food too.”

British invasion
On Monday Rockford had a British journalist interview him at home. To prepare him for the journalist’s accent, I started talking to Rockford with a British accent to which he kept laughing and saying, “why are you talking like that?” I told him a man by the name of Paul, from England, would be here to ask him some questions. When Mr. Paul arrived and said, “Hello Rockford” (all britishy) Rockford kept smiling and looking at me. Today, being silly, I started talking with a British accent and Rockford says, “Why are you talking like that? You’re not Mr.Paul?” Yup, he’ll be watching the British Royal Wedding me. If Rockford can invade England’s newspaper, England can sure invade our living room.

Happy Birthday, pass the salsa?
Last Friday was my birthday and my husband and Rockford went out to run some errands for me. On their return I was downstairs getting ready when Rockford shows up with a grocery bag and says, “here, this is for you, it’s your birthday, happy birthday mama.” My response, “Why did bring down those bags of chips down here?” Later I went up stairs to be greeted with a dozen roses and a chocolate cake (my favorite!). “Aww, did you plan this out and waiting for me to come upstairs?” I asked. My husband answered, “Actually, Rockford was supposed to bring you the roses but he didn’t want to.” “Oh, so instead he shows up to give me the bags of tortilla chips?” We both laughed. It was a wonderful birthday.
HAPPY FRIDAY ALL!!
HAPPY ROYAL WEDDING WATCHING!!!
KEEP COMING BACK!!!
