Rockford’s favorite gal

Narratives by Nana Trudy

Guest blog today by Nana Trudy, or should I say Rockford’s #1 gal! She really is the apple of his eye. He counts the days on his weekly calendar to see when he will get to see her again…it never gets old.

While over at my house, Rockford was put to work. He was cutting trees in my backyard. He took it up like a big boy and added, “I am very strong.”

On the drive back home last night, I asked Rockford if he could tell me the “continents” and he thought for a second and then said,  ” How about the vowels”? And proceeded to sing his vowel song. I think he thought I meant “consonants”.

In an effort to encourage Rockford to go pee pee in the potty, during his training days, I said to him, “Rockford, let’s try going pee pee in the potty like a big boy ok,” He said, “What? I don’t know what you are talking about.” Then I repeated what I had asked him before, “I’m talking about going pee pee in the potty.” Again, “What? I don’t know what you are talking about.” Before I could finish my sentence he interjects, “–Umm,  let’s talk about Jesus, let’s talk about God and Abraham.” What a little smart one this little boy, dodging the question and trying to swiftly change the conversation. Must get it from the mom.
