“Dr. can you help me?”
Doctor appointment gone mad
Ever have one of those days where you head out with your kids to accomplish an ordinary task only to have it turned into an embarrassing episode of motherhood where you want to get away? I have. Come laugh at me…er with me.
It was my younger son’s nine month check up and we were sitting in the pediatrics waiting room. Rockford always brings his bag of cars to keep himself occupied so he immediately got down to business with them. Rocco started getting a little restless from being strapped in his stroller, so I released him and let him crawl around a little. A few minutes later, it was Rocco’s feeding time and I readied myself to nurse him. Of course, wouldn’t you know it, as soon as Rocco started nursing, Rockford comes up to me saying, “I gotta go pee pee.” Before I could answer him the nurse walks out and calls out, “Rocco Ramirez”. That was us, so I immediately started getting us organized. I haphazardly placed Rocco back on his stroller (unbuckled) so I could fix myself having been nursing him. At the same time I’m asking Rockford to pick up all of his toys now scattered around the floor. He starts whining not wanting to pick them up because he wants to go pee and accidentally falls on his back, his shoe goes flying in the air as he lays there crying on his back. If that weren’t enough, Rocco is now standing on his stroller’s seat and is about to fall out of it. Holding my blouse to my chest so as not to have a wardrobe malfunction, I look to the nurse and awkwardly say, “Could this be any more dramatic?” She only returns a look that says she would opt to go to the next patient. As we are being stared at by the audience we’ve now attracted, we humbly make our way to the doctor’s office.
This lovely moment was brought to you by my two rambunctious boys. This is just another classic example of how our kids can make some ordinary days so memorable and spontaneous. So to those brave souls out there, I dare you to share your embarrassing mommy moment with me.
HAVE A MARVELOUS MONDAY ALL!!!

You could have just waved good-bye to the audience (rest of the waiting patients) as you left and said, “That’s all for the pre-show folks!” We all have plenty of those moments!
Darn, why didn’t I think of that? That totally sounds like something I would do too. I will take note of that for next time…yes, I know there will be many opportunities for that lol.
