Interpretive Art
Sunday School art
Ever have your kid bring his or her art work home only to get stumped trying to guess what it is? My husband and I took a guess at what this picture was and it was…
After Rockford handed me his Sunday School drawing my husband and I looked at it and then looked at each other with a look of, “Your guess is as good as mine.”
Me: “What do you think it is?”
Husband: “I think it’s a pizza and that little piece over there is a piece of pizza. It has to be, that’s his favorite.”
Me: “Hmmm, I think it’s money and I think that’s an offering he’s giving.”
Later that day we asked Rockford what it was. His response, “it’s a purse with money in it and that’s me giving offering to the church. We learned about giving in Sunday school.”
…moral of the story is mommy was right 🙂 No just kidding, there is not moral of the story, but a reminder of how great it is to see our kids express themselves through their drawings. Can you relate?
