A Happy Presidents’ Day
Happy Birthday Lincoln and Washington
He made sure we celebrated Presidents’ Day! 2/2012
Not every kid wakes up happy and excited for Abraham Lincoln’s birthday…but this is my son Rockford and he always makes sure we recognize a great leader in our nation.
Today we are sitting eating breakfast…
Rockford: “Mom, today is Abraham Lincoln’s birthday.”
Me: “Oh, yeah. What can you tell me about him?”
Rockford: “He was a great man. A really great man.”
Me: “Well what should we do today?”
Rockford: “We should make something here and then go to Nana’s house.” (We always go to Nana’s house when we celebrate a birthday).
Me: “Ok so what else can you tell me about him Rockford.”
Rockford: “I don’t know. I’m just a kid. I don’t know everything, but he was tall.”
It’s great to celebrate our history’s heroes with our kids and have them appreciate what makes this country so great. So thank you and Happy Birthday Mr.Abraham Lincoln, on behalf of The Ramirez.
