Rockford recalls a story
“Mama remember when my arm hurt and you took me to the doctor and he gave me a funny picture (X-ray) of it and I laughed at him?”
When I grow up
Rockford: “Daddy’s upstairs working. I want to work too when I grow up.”
Me: “What do you want to do?”
RF: “I want to go to the grocery store and pick apples off the trees and ride on hay rides.”
…My son wants to be Johnny Appleseed.

A Curious Mind
RF: “Mama how did you get in my house?”
Me: “Me? I live here.”
RF: “Oh, but how did you come in it?”
Me: “Through the door. I live here.”
RF: “Oh, but why do you live here for?”
Me: “To live, to sleep and to rest here…Why do you live here?”
RF: “Oh, to sleep and to rest here…but, but I would never leave to go some other place.”
Good to know.

We interrupt this conversation to bring you a very important announcement from Rockford
On this given day I met Daddy and Rockford at a McDonald’s parking lot to give Daddy the zoo passes since I had been at the Doctor’s office with Rocco, was headed home and had the passes in my wallet. As I am trying to talk quickly to Daddy while the car is running, Rockford kept interrupting us. He kept doing the “Mommy, Mommy, Mommy..” chant. We kept telling him to wait and he finally started crying frantically. Finally, I asked him, “What did you need to tell me Rockford?” Rockford looks to me with a sobbing face and mumbles out, “Mama, that car look like Lightening McQueen huh?” …yes Mommy and Daddy thought this was cute too.

Lending a helping hand
While giving Rockford a bath the other night he found another one of my hair strands.
RF: “Here (hands me hair strand), Don’t do that anymore!”
Me: “Rockford the hair falls out by itself. I can’t help it.”
RF: “You can’t help it?”
Me: “No.”
RF: “But I can help you.”

Happy Feet
While driving, we are listening to up beat tempo music.
Rockford: “Look Mama, my toes are dancing!”
